Dermaplaning (sometimes referred to as derma blading) is a popular manual exfoliation technique (as opposed to chemical exfoliation) employed by our master aestheticians to prep the skin for other facial treatments. Though not offered as a standalone treatment, dermaplaning is available as an add-on to treatments like HydraFacial, TLC signature facial, extraction facial or chemical peel. How Dermaplaning Works: A sterile, fine-gauge surgical blade is used at just the right angle and with just enough pressure to glide over the surface of skin, picking up dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (aka “peach fuzz”) in its path and revealing the fresh, new skin underneath. This alleviates dullness and texture issues, leaving you with brighter, smoother skin.
